We have been meeting every week for a few months and we have seen on the average of 3 to 5 professionals at each meeting.

After asking for feed back from the members that have made the meetings in the month of May 2010 the vote is in to move to a monthly lunch and learn.

Why?

1. We have had over 20 guest in the last few months, but only 1 to 3 at a time. If we had a monthly meeting we would have had more guest per meeting.

2. Most members also go to other networking meetings in the AM on other days of the week in and around the area and see some of the same professionals.

3. A monthly lunch and learn would be great for the community. Each month have a speaker would inform our members and guest about their company and how that can enhance everyone.

So, this May 26th will be our last breakfast meeting. All members will receive an email by Friday May 28th letting them know of our new time and date that comes out of the meeting this week.

The Sun Lakes Chamber of Commerce moved away from holding a monthly meeting to a weekly Networking & Breakfast meeting and their membership numbers are going up.

Networking & Breakfast meeting are held weekly at the Poolside Café - Oakwood Country Club every Wednesdays from 8:00am - 9:30am. (Poolside Café at Oakwood Country Club 24215 South Oakwood Blvd, Sun Lakes, AZ 85248).

This is a free event for both members and non-members of the Sun Lakes Chamber of Commerce, LLC. Just bring your business cards and buy your own breakfast or coffee and enjoy meeting other business professionals from around the area.

Our new membership fees apply "Only" to new members that have joined the Sun Lakes Chamber of Commerce as of Jan., 1st 2010. (1-10 Employees $395 and up to $1,495 for Chamber Partnership)

*If you joined in 2009 your fee will stay the same when your membership comes up for renewal in 2010. (1-5 employees $245 and 6-20 employees $345)

**Members that have not yet renewed their membership that was due in 2009 have only until March, 15th 2010 to bring their membership into good standing.

The mission of the Mentors Club is to effectively promote membership to the Chamber to new and prospective members, while encouraging current members to maximize their membership. Mentor members are volunteer liaisons between members and the Chamber staff, and will achieve this mission through attending Chamber events, Mentors Club meetings, and having awareness about Chamber events and programs to share with other members.

This club traditionally meets every 3rd week after our weekly breakfast from 9:30-10:30AM. The meetings include Chamber updates and news, as well as the benefit of professional development classes, speakers and networking opportunities.
